This is the ideal destination for fans of ancient monuments and history buffs: the Ferme-Musée du Cotentin in Sainte Mère-Eglise, the Moulin de Marie Ravenel in the Val de Saire, the Château des Ravalet in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, etc. Vauban has also left his mark in Saint-Vaast la Hougue and on lle Tatihou with his towers, listed World Heritage by UNESCO, the medieval castles in Bricquebec and Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte, all witnesses to a rich past, not-to-mention the manor houses in Urville-Nacqueville and Omonville-la-Rogue, and the ancient dwellings all over the region.
