It’s time to take to the waters

Whether you’re looking to take time out for yourself, or for an experience to share with family or friends, Cotentin is surrounded by the wide-open sea and the salty sea air provides a unique atmosphere.

The Cotentin peninsula is in a fantastic location for watersports. Surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand-up-paddle, sand yachting, rowing, optimist boat, sailing dinghy, catamaran, yacht, sea kayaking, longe-côte (aquatic hiking), swimming, diving, etc. There’s something for everyone, whatever your age, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced.

Your choice will depend upon the tides schedule. The tide comes in and the tide goes out. Twice per day. Bringing with it some great waves.

For those who don’t particularly want to get wet, you’ll also have your fair share of trade winds, gusts of wind and sea breezes. Choose from the wide range of activities to do on the sand, including sand yachting, kite flying or land windsurfing, so you too can have fun and enjoy the beach and surrounding views.
