The biscuits and other sweet treats of Cotentin
Wherever you go on your exploration of Cotentin, you’ll be presented with an opportunity to taste the biscuits, cakes, ice creams, chocolates and caramels that are made right here in the local workshops of Cotentin. Some of them open their doors to visitors and offer guided tours.
After a day out at sea or a walk through the Parc des Marais, why not treat yourself by stopping by one of the local bakeries to taste the “financiers” (little almond cakes) in Sortosville-en-Beaumont, not far from Barneville-Carteret, or some of the delicious biscuits made in Quinéville or Sainte Mère Eglise.
Most of the biscuit makers also have a shop where you can purchase the unmissable products of Cotentin, and take them home with you to taste yourselves, or give them to loved ones as a gift.
