Church of Notre-Dame and Baptistery Religious buildings PORT-BAIL-SUR-MER
The 11th century church of Notre-Dame is listed as a Historic Monument and stands proudly on the harbour with its fortified bell tower. It is lit up every evening and exhibitions and concerts are now held here. The 6th century baptistery is original as it is built on hexagonal plans, and is the only one known, north of the Loire. The baptistery can always be seen through railings.
